According to officials, a nationwide text message scam is targeting individuals by attempting to impersonate state agencies.

Service Oklahoma officials detailed that they were made aware of fraudulent messages claiming recipients had unpaid traffic violations that would need to be resolved immediately to avoid penalties. The messages include suspicious links and threats such as license suspension, legal action, and negative credit reporting.
