The 2025 Tribeca Film Festival is full of music documentaries this year. The Billy Joel documentary is making headlines in light of his tragic recent diagnosis , but the festival is also hosting the world premiere of Billy Idol Should Be Dead , a documentary about punk rocker Billy Idol's rise to stardom in the 1970s and '80s.

In an interview with The Ankler , Idol talked about his storied career - and also dropped a rather scandalous little bombshell about fellow rocker Sting .
