Draper — On Thursday, Draper City residents received a boil order from the Utah Division of Drinking Water for contaminated drinking water.

According to WaterPro, one of the water utilities serving Draper, a cross-connection between the secondary and culinary water systems has been discovered, allowing untreated water to enter the system for drinking water.

In response, WaterPro sent a notification of the possible contamination to the drinking water system to approximately 1,300 customers in Draper.

The company advised city officials to instate a boil order to all affected costumers until further notice. The company also provided a map of potentially affected areas.
