Wednesday, June 4, is a day Mark Coburn will never forget. It’s the day his wife, Anne, was tragically killed by an allegedly impaired driver while she was walking home from her job at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Bath Road.

“I’d always dreaded having to get the knock at the door,” said an emotional Coburn, who applauded the Kingston Police for their compassion. “But I could have never imagined that there would be two people like the ones that came to me Wednesday evening. They just made it so much easier than I could have imagined it to be. They really did help me through one of the worst days of my life.”
