BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is getting a new training facility, as the County Fiscal Court approved a $2.2 million bid for renovations in late May.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said the facility will bring new training for law enforcement, such as virtual reality training.

“It’s almost like they’re there," Hightower said. "We can work on de-escalation techniques, how they position themselves on different calls.”

The facility will also bring real-life scenario training that can be interchangeable with different exercise, he added.

"We plan on having some removable walls, where, if you had to make an entry into a house or into a school, we can re-use those walls and maneuver those to change it every time," he said.
