VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — An apparent road rage incident that happened Friday morning landed one man in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
Around 10 a.m., authorities say a driver called 911 and said someone had pointed a gun at them on I-64.
The victim told police they were passing a driver in a black truck, when the driver of a truck pointed a handgun toward them.
Authorities say they were able to find the truck in Warrick County, and identify the driver as 69-year-old Alan Mesmer.
ISP says Mesmer had a handgun on him and that the magazine for the weapon was full, but that it was not loaded.
Mesmer was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, and point an unloaded weapon at another person.
