MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Hearing Loss Association of America is hosting the Walk 4 Hearing this weekend.

It will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 8 at Olin Park in Madison.

The organization is celebrating 20 years of building community while breaking down barriers and empowering people with hearing loss.

Katherine Rybak, who is board chair for the Madison Chapter of Hearing Loss Association of America, and John Kinstler, CapTel Outreach Marketing Manager, visited WMTV on Friday.

“It’s a great event for parents to meet other parents who have deaf children so they can support each other,” said Kinstler. “Hearing loss is an invisible disability.”

He said 140 people are registered so far for the event. If you would like to register, click here .
