STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) picked up "a few" individuals in Statesboro Friday morning, according to the Bulloch Sheriff's Office.
Those arrested were taken to Savannah for processing, Capt. Todd Hutchens said.
ICE was reportedly in Statesboro Friday morning but left around 8:30 a.m.
Three Mexican restaurants announced they were closed on Friday, with plans to reopen on Saturday. It was not made clear if the restaurants closed in connection to ICE activity in the area.
