MANTECA, Calif. —
A Cal Fire employee who has worked in different parts of the state is accused of child pornography, the Manteca Police Department said Friday.
Joseph Trevor Forney, 41, faces charges of sexually explicit material depicting sexual acts and annoying/molesting a child under 18 years of age, police said.
Officers got a tip on May 8 from the National Missing and Exploited Children organization that Forney uploaded, possessed and distributed child porn, which included children under 10 years old, police said.
After obtaining a warrant for his arrest, police said they arrested Forney on Thursday while he was on duty at a Cal Fire station in the Patterson area of Stanislaus County.
Police said Forney has been with Cal Fire since 2023 and has worked in Patterson, Santa Clara
