Broomfield kicks off its Summer Concerts Series next week with two acts that will bring genre-bending tunes, inspired by lifetimes of musicianship.

Each year, the county brings the community together in Broomfield parks for free summer concerts, complete with food trucks, at six summer events. On Wednesday, the series opens with headliner D.J. Williams at Anthem Community Park, 15663 Sheridan Parkway, Broomfield. Food trucks Farm to Truck, Santa Elena’s and HipPops will be serving up snacks and treats.

“I fell in love with the Colorado music scene when I started playing here in 2010, and I talked about moving here for a long time,” Williams said. “A lot of my friends who live here were like, ‘Hey, just do it or shut up about it.’ So I came out here in 2018 and I’ve been here ever since.”
