BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The American Red Cross is setting up shop in Battle Creek next week for three days of disaster training.
From June 12 through 14, new and existing volunteers will attend a number of training sessions breaking down how to respond when disaster strikes.
Justin Kern, the executive director of the American Red Cross of Southwest Michigan, said it's important to gather volunteers ahead of the severe weather expected this summer.
