SAN ANTONIO - The family of 18-year-old George S. Macias is having a plate sale on Saturday to help raise money for funeral expenses.

Starting at 11 a.m., you can purchase a plate at the B & N Sports Bar on 3705 Roosevelt Avenue.

On May 29, 2025, George Macias' body was discovered in Woodlawn Lake just after 8 a.m. on Thursday after a passer-by spotted a torso sticking out of the water.

A rescue team was dispatched, but Macias was found dead. The cause and manner of his death have not been determined by the medical examiner yet.

The family believes he was murdered and is seeking justice for George.

They are asking anyone with information or video footage to please contact SAPD Detective Thorton
