(NewsNation) — A special special operations tactical unit of U.S. Customs and Border Protection is now part of the manhunt for escaped inmate Grant Hardin, known more commonly as the "Devil in the Ozarks", with hopes that the specially trained federal agents may help lead authorities to Hardin.

The Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) provides immediate response to emergent law enforcement operations that require specialized skills and tactics. The team, which is based out of the El Paso Sector, also has members who are deployed throughout the country.
