CHICAGO (WGN) — A 16-year-old girl is hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound inside an apartment on Chicago's Near West Side, police said Friday.

Details remain limited, but according to Chicago police, the shooting incident occurred at around 1:20 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of S. Ashland Ave.

The 16-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm, police added. She arrived at nearby Stroger Hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody.
