DEFIANCE, Ohio — UPDATE: The cat was rescued Friday afternoon by Ryan Vaughan with Vaughan's Tree Service.

According to Treetop Cat Rescue, who also attempted to rescue the cat, Vaughan drove three-and-a-half hours to make the rescue.

Treetop Cat Rescue said Vaughan was able to cut the branch the cat was on and the owners of the cat caught it with a bed sheet.
