COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 26-year-old man pleaded not guilty Thursday after being indicted on several charges for his alleged role in a fatal shooting last month in south Columbus.
Francisco Vallejo-Arevalo was indicted Wednesday on one count of aggravated murder, two counts of murder and one count of tampering with evidence.
The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST), led by the U.S. Marshals, arrested Vallejo-Arevalo in connection with the death of 31-year-old Erik Alcauter-Huitron.
On May 18, officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the 3000 block of Kane Drive, located just west of South High Street in the Fairlane Mobile Home Park, on a report of a shooting. A dispatcher for the city's public safety department said officers found Alcauter-Huitron outs
