NORWOOD COURT — Prosecutors have filed formal charges against a St. Louis man they believe shot and killed a woman in Norwood Court in the early hours Tuesday morning.

Antonio Brown, 36, allegedly shot 24-year-old D'Asja Barrow-Foote at least once about 12:30 a.m., according to a St. Louis County press release. The two were reportedly in a relationship.

When officers responded to a report of gunshots, they found Barrow-Foote had already been taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. A witness told police that a gray Nissan Altima left the scene quickly after the shooting, which police say they linked to Brown.

Brown reportedly admitted to officers that he owned a gun, disposed of it and left the scene, according to the release.

He faces charges of second degree murder,
