Two more people have been arrested at a state prison in Barbour County.
The Alabama Department of Corrections says on Thursday, K-9 personnel were notified about a suspicious vehicle at Easterling Correctional Facility.
Once the vehicle was located, the driver, identified as Ja’traveon De’Angelothomas Davis, was taken into custody and questioned.
At the same time, tracking dogs were deployed and a track was detected. The search led to a second suspect, identified as Adrom Kymell Simmons, who was in possession of several contraband packages.
ADOC says they recovered 326 grams of tobacco, 163 grams of marijuana, 3 vapes and 3 cell phones.
Davis and Simmons were transported to the Barbour County Jail and charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and Possession of Marijua
