Video: Little Rock Zoo releases footage of new penguin earlier this year
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Little Rock Zoo is set to host a celebration in honor of its100th anniversary that will focus on community, conversation and announcements related to its future operations.
The Zoo announced its Centennial Celebration will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at 1 Zoo Drive in Little Rock.
The event will feature family-friendly activities, including crafts for children, face painting, a parade, a costume contest and complimentary cupcakes.
A spokesperson for the zoo said a recycling event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the east parking lot at the corner of Zoo Drive and Monroe Street.
