BUFFALO, N.Y. (KMOT) - The U.S. National Sled Team won gold this past weekend at the 2025 World Para Ice Hockey Championship.
The team defeated Canada 6-1 in the gold medal game to secure their seventh all-time gold.
Jack Wallace of Franklin Lakes, N.J., scored a hat trick in the game.
The team is coached by David Hoff, a Bottineau native and former teacher, athletic director and hockey coach at Bottineau High School.
Hoff has served as head coach of the U.S. National team since the 2018-19 season.
Hoff is joined by fellow Bottineau native Corey Gorder, who is also in his sixth year as assistant coach of the team.
