MINOT — North Dakota's domestic and sexual violence cases are hitting record highs while, simultaneously, the organizations in charge of helping the victims in those cases, who are almost entirely funded by federal dollars, are facing cuts.
“We’re certainly reliant on federal funds,” said Sean O'Neill, executive director for the North Dakota Domestic and Sexual Violence Coalition. “We are in a holding pattern and we’re doing our best to apply for grants and different things, but we don’t know what the future will hold.”
