GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — The United Veterans Club in Hall County is celebrating a century of dedication to veterans and local heroes. For decades, the club has served as a voice for veterans, ensuring their sacrifices are remembered and their needs addressed.

Larry Mcahren, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), emphasized the importance of membership. "It's real important for members to join up so we get our voice heard in DC," he said. Reflecting on the past, Mcahren noted, "Actually, nobody said anything about anything. About the war, you know. They just sort of, nobody talked about it."
