HENRY COUNTY ( 25News Now ) - The death of a 39-year-old Kewanee man, whose body was discovered near the Henry County community a week ago, is being investigated as a homicide, according to Illinois State Police.
Investigators are also asking the public for leads to help them solve the case.
Catrelle Reed went missing on Thursday, May 22. Eight days later on Friday, May 30, authorities said a concerned citizen discovered Reed’s body near the intersection of Highway 81 and East 2350th Street, just west of Kewanee.
The Henry County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy in Peoria that revealed Reed’s death was a homicide. No information is being released about how Reed died or if there are any suspects.
