SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Siouxland Sports Academy announced they will be moving to a brand new facility as youth sports continue to grow in the tri-state area.
The new Scheels Sports Complex is a $5 million, 65k foot facility and will be located near Lewis and Clark Park and Cone Park. Plans for the building include five basketball courts, nine volleyball courts, a batting cage, a weight room, a dance academy, locker rooms, offices, and an outdoor patio.
The sale of the land is set to be approved at the June 9 City Council meeting. The Siouxland Sports Academy hopes to break ground on the new facility later this fall, with a completion date in 2026.
