Attack by another Montfort patient leaves man in coma

Abdourahman Omar said on June 5 that his cousin, Omar Aboubaker, had been admitted to Montfort on May 4 after complaining of dental pain. He also said hospital staff noticed that Aboubaker was “agitated.” Article content

Afterwards, Omar said, his cousin was put into a sedative coma in the hospital’s mental health unit.

“They told us they were going to take care of him,” he said.

On May 7, though, Omar said, he received a call from the hospital saying that the night before another patient had entered Aboubaker’s room and attacked him.
