The Texas Rangers are striking out on Pride Month.
Once again this season, the Rangers remain the only team in Major League Baseball not to formally celebrate and host a Pride Night . This is not exactly surprising news, given that in 2023, the team became the last holdout in the league not to celebrate Pride, but it is becoming a glaring blunder.
The Rangers haven't really explained why they choose not to join the 29 other MLB teams in scheduling a Pride Night, but they have instead offered vague deflections. In 2023, the organization gave us a statement that read , in part, “Our commitment is to make everyone feel welcome and included in Rangers baseball. That means in our ballpark, at every game, and in all we do – for both our fans and our employees. We deliver on that promise
