LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Morning rain to start off the weekend is looking more and more likely, but it will not be a washout by any means. Similar to Friday, cloud cover is expected early with afternoon sunshine and highs in the upper 70s.

Starting off with skycast, showers and storms will increase in coverage overnight arriving early in the morning here in Lincoln. Activity should diminish by noon, with a low chance for the afternoon. Another round of rain is possible then on Sunday, but chances are low as well.

Highs Saturday will likely climb to around 80 degrees in the Capital City with mid 70s to mid 80s overall.

On Sunday we will fall into the mid to upper 70s as a cold front moves in late Saturday and into early Sunday.
