WORTHINGTON, Ohio — The Worthington Resource Pantry has shut its doors on Huntley Road and reopened at a bigger warehouse space on 500 Schrock Rd.
This comes as food pantries across central Ohio experience skyrocketing demand.
Executive Director Nick Linkenhoker said April was the pantry’s busiest month ever, serving about 12,000 people.
It followed 19 months of consecutive growth at the Worthington Resource Pantry.

“That need is not going away so we are here to help bridge that gap for families,” Linkenhoker said.
The larger space will allow the pantry to do just that, with wider aisles, a large waiting room and more shelves to keep stocked.
Debbie Peepers and a team of volunteers have been putting in full-time hours for the last seven weeks to get the new space r
