MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A Madison man was sentenced on Friday to seven years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl, the Department of Justice reported.

Arminius D. Jones, 49, pleaded guilty to these charges on March 21.

The sentencing also includes a charge for Jones possessing 40 grams or more of fentanyl intended for distribution.

According to the DOJ, between May of 2024 and July of 2024, Jones sold fentanyl pills to an undercover police officer in Madison on three different occasions.
