NIANTIC, Conn. (WFSB) - More weekend rain is on the way.
You would have to go back to the weekend of February 22-23rd in the Hartford area to find a completely dry weekend.
The rain tomorrow will make it 15 consecutive weekends with wet weather.
“Of course it hurts business. It’s rainy, windy, cold, people don’t look forward to that,” said Capt. Bob Wadsworth, Owner, Sunbeam Fleets.
Captain Bob Wadsworth has had to cancel some charter trips this year because of the wind.
The boats do go out in the rain, people just have to dress accordingly.
“Hopefully it’s past. May is over, June gets better, July, August, some of our better months,” Wadsworth said. “As tough as the weather has been, the fishing has been excellent, so it’s a catch-22.”
On Friday, McCook’s Beach in Niantic was busy.
