CONCORD, N.H. —

The stage is set for budget negotiations at the State House after the New Hampshire Senate passed its version of the budget Thursday night.

In an interview for "CloseUp," Senate Minority Leader Rebecca Perkins Kwoka and Majority Leader Regina Birdsell highlighted some points of contention as the Senate, House and governor prepare to work through their differences.

Birdsell said the Senate reversed a long list of cuts made by the House, including to the suicide prevention hotline.

"We have 46,000 of our residents who use the suicide hotline," Birdsell said. "Three thousand of my fellow veterans also use it. And we also brought some attention to and funding for pre- and post-natal mental health for our new mothers."
