SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Ok. (KNWA/KFTA) — A man connected to an armed robbery and assault incident in Fort Smith faces two new charges after being arrested by Roland police.
Kenneth Byrd, 28, is accused of attacking and stealing from a known acquaintance. According to the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office inmate roster, Byrd was booked on charges of obstruction of a police officer and flight to avoid Sebastian County.
Case background
The alleged incident took place at an apartment at the 5900 block of Kinkead Avenue.
Before being captured, the Fort Smith Police Department said Byrd may have been armed with a revolver and was considered dangerous.
The Roland Police Department said in a social media post on Thursday that Byrd was taken into custody.
