WACO, Texas — Looking to add a new furry friend to your life? This week, you can do so in Waco for free, while making a difference at the same time.
The Pet Circle Regional Animal Center in Waco says it is currently beyond full, at 144% capacity in its dog kennels, and needs the help of community members to adopt or foster.
According to the shelter, "every kennel, every room, every space" is currently full as the Center faces a critical space crisis.
The Center is offering free adoptions this week to help combat the space crisis, allowing residents to take home their newest family member free of charge.
For those who are not able to adopt, the Animal Center is also asking for people to foster animals, and said it will provide foster supplies for those who do.
