ELMWOOD ( 25News Now ) - It’s just about that time when hundreds of people gather, all for the love of a popular summer fruit.

The 37th Elmwood Strawberry Festival is taking place all day Saturday in downtown Elmwood.

The variety of strawberry-flavored items is sure to blow the minds of enthusiasts, from jams, jellies, and fresh strawberries to strawberry pizza, ice cream and floats.

For those who are not a fan of all things strawberries, there are plenty of other events to keep the whole family entertained.

“It’s a very family-friendly event, there’s something there for everybody,” explained Emily Brunnelson, committee chair for the Strawberry Festival. “You can check out the car show. There are quilts to look at. Just come out and eat lots of good food and have fun.”
