ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It is now day six of search for Zy'Jae St. Pierre — the five-year-old who fell into the Genesee River Sunday afternoon.
The Rochester Police Department gave News 8 an update on their search efforts. Officers lowered water levels Friday morning and drained the river to where the Scuba Team was able to walk on the riverbed and check the surface.
While the river level is adjusted to help aid in the search, RPD said the currents make it difficult and unsafe for divers to go in certain spots in the river.
So far, Rochester Police have worked with Rochester Gas and Electric, the Department of Environmental Conservation, and many others to help with the search, but have found nothing so far. This leads police to believe Pierre could be in a deep and uneven area under t
