DENVER (KDVR) -- The colorful landscapes of Colorado make for a favorite place for camping, not just among those in the Centennial State, but for adventure enthusiasts around the nation.

Hipcamp is a platform where campers can book reservations at campsites ranging from places to pitch a tent or park an RV, to unique camping experiences in tiny homes, on farms and more.

The platform released a list of its 50 Favorite Places to Camp in America Right Now after gathering data for more than half a million campsites in all the states. Hipcamp narrowed its options down and made selections based on criteria including camper reviews and ratings, regional trends, cultural shifts and editorial debate.
