BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — A woman was convicted of two counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor under 13 in Bernalillo County on Friday. Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman stated that Jaime Sandoval-Gonzalez lured an 11-year-old girl into a bathroom and raped her in March of 2020.

Sandoval-Gonzalez was discovered with the victim when another adult broke down the door of the bathroom. Sandoval-Gonzalez is facing up to 36 years in the New Mexico Corrections Department. Sentencing will take place at a later time.
