The ridge of high pressure we have been watching build over the Pacific is making a move inland. The mercury in the thermometer will top out in the 90s for the next three or four days as a result. This will be the first run of persistent hot weather this season and, although not overly oppressive, it will be uncomfortably hot.
The highs over the weekend will be in the low 90s in the Bend and Redmond area under mostly sunny skies. The air will be dry so not much in the way of cloud cover is expected, allowing the sun to heat us up quickly. The high sun angle and the length of day are also contributing to the hot pattern.
After the 90-degree day on Saturday, we will follow that up Sunday a couple of degrees warmer. Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 90s once again. The wi
