The University of South Carolina (USC) has announced that it has been chosen as one of 34 Team Base Camp Training Sites for the FIFA Club World Cup, an international men's football competition organized by the Federation Internationale de Football Association that will take place June 14 through July 17.

Thirty-two qualified clubs will utilize the training sites throughout the group stage, with USC playing host to Fluminense FC, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Winning a World Club Championship in 1952, five national championship titles, and more than 20 international tournament titles, Fluminense is Brazil's first and oldest club.
