The City of Valparaiso opened a new 5,200 square-foot playground at Fountain Meadows Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday morning.
The playground, including its elevated components, is designed to create an inclusive environment for all children, including those with physical, sensory and cognitive impairments. New amenities at the park include a 12-foot playground tower, 10 new slides and eight sensory play features. The playground's elevated features include ramps to allow access by children using wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
