A Paducah man was arrested Thursday following an ongoing investigation into his whereabouts related to two previous serious assault cases.
Paducah Police said their Drug Unit arrested 32-year-old Coryaunta Rhodes who was wanted on active warrants stemming from a previous incident in which he allegedly slapped and strangled a family member, rendering the victim unconscious. He fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
Rhodes was also a suspect in a separate assault at a local nightclub, where he reportedly punched a female victim, resulting in injuries severe enough to require her transfer to an out-of-state hospital. He also fled before police arrived in that case.
