It's a good idea to dress in light clothing, grab your sunglasses and pack some water as you get ready to head out the door Thursday. A strong ridge of high pressure is parked well off the coast in the Pacific, and that will continue to drive sunny to mostly sunny skies, mostly dry conditions, and above average temperatures across our region. A weak area of low pressure directly off the coast will bring the return of south winds and a modest dip in temperatures to northern California today. Skies have been clear overnight, and we'll stay sunny across the valley and foothills today. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected to arrive into this afternoon in our higher elevations.
