A jury has begun deliberations in the trial for one of two suspects in a fatal armed robbery in 2021 at a Greeley gas station.

Kyle Moore, 31, appeared Friday morning before Weld District Court Judge Marcelo Kopcow for the closing arguments in his jury trial.

This case dates back to about 10 p.m. Dec. 14, 2021, when Greeley police responded to a report of an armed man trying to steal a vehicle at the Cosmic Market, a gas station and convenience store at 2730 23rd Ave.

Officers learned the gas station manager Victor Martinez, 51, had been shot while trying to intervene. Martinez was taken to a hospital and later died from the gunshot wound.
