SCRANTON, Pa. — What was once just a slab of asphalt behind John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Scranton is now an inclusive playground.

It's not only for fun but also to cultivate active learning, community and connection. President of Valley in Motion, Gus Fahey, says spaces like this are unprecedented for many folks in Scranton.

"For all of the adults here that have grown up Scranton and the area around here you know we are used to just flat, asphalt playgrounds. Now, we're not going to accept that anymore. This is the new standard that we're going to give to the children of the next generation," says Fahey.
