HAMPDEN - It's been a crazy week for John Bapst Boys tennis, but despite that, the wild path they've taken has led them to quite the familiar destination- the Class B North Championships.
"It's been the craziest week of high school sports I think I've ever had," says senior Griffin Merrill. "Lots of changes to the schedule, waking up each morning not really knowing what the days going to be like- but we've come through."
Finishing as the sixth seed in Class B North, the Crusaders earned a trip up to Caribou for the first round. After rain on Monday washed the match out, the team got halfway up to the county on Tuesday when another obstacle- literally- got in their way.
