ELLSWORTH -- “I think we need to just keep doing what we’ve been doing the last few weeks, and I think we’re going to see some pretty good things happen,” said Ellsworth senior pitcher/infielder Brayden King.

The Ellsworth baseball team finished the regular season winning 7 of their last 8, securing the No. 2 seed in the Class B North playoffs. The Eagles attribute a lot of that success to the guys on the bump, but say the bats have taken this team to a new level.

“Our pitchers put us in really good situations, we have three number ones," said Ellsworth senior catcher/DH/outfielder Hollis Grindal. "Zach Torrey is a very good pitcher as a freshman, too. With them we’re always going to be in games.”
