LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — A Lincoln man charged with more than a dozen protection order violations this year alone is now facing new charges, this time for allegedly tampering with witnesses.

Masyn Anthony, 20, faces four counts of tampering with witnesses in Lancaster County Court. A judge set his bond at 10% of $250,000 and scheduled a hearing for July 7.

Anthony is accused of making seven jail calls to family members on April 30 in an effort to get the female victim to testify on his behalf to get his protection order charges dropped, court documents show.

Police wrote that when the victim did not testify during Anthony’s court case regarding bond revocation on May 1, she allegedly received a threatening Facebook message from one of his family members.
