ROGERSVILLE, Mo. — "As far as being prepared and ready for the whole situation, we feel like we're pretty well equipped and prepared for it," Captain John Brossman said.

Brossman, with the Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District, says they're likely to keep some workers on call if there's a rise in water rescue calls with expected rain this weekend, even moving equipment around to other stations to strategically plan for those calls.

"We always have water rescue staff every shift throughout the district. We do talk a little bit more for a few people that live close by off shift about being prepared," Brossman said.

Brossman says with rainfall after rainfall, even if it isn't actively raining, it's still important to be cautious if you're around water.
