ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Repairs for drainage issues could slow some drivers down on I-85 through the weekend, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
GDOT officials said a settlement caused by surface drainage issues was found on the interstate near the Buford Highway Connector.
“We will be reopening one lane shortly, but motorists should expect intermittent full closures throughout the weekend for crews to perform necessary repairs,” GDOT officials said late Friday.
The transportation department did not say how long it would take for the repairs to be complete.
