The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 9:05 a.m. in Woodmere. According to detectives, a 78-year-old female was operating a 2024 Mercedes, traveling eastbound on West Broadway in the vicinity of Howard Avenue when she collided with a 2024 Honda SUV also traveling eastbound. The driver of the Mercedes then lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree causing the vehicle to overturn. While overturning, the Mercedes then collided with a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The passenger of the Mercedes, an 82 year old male, was pronounced at scene by a Nassau County Police Medic and the female driver was transported to a localhospital for minor injuries.
